Walking down the memory lane ...

This ain't an autobiography ;-), I would rather like to call it an informal write up of the memoirs which make up my life. Life is just a passage and I owe a lot to the people who made my cruise on earth possible. Varghese (My master) and Lissy ( the face I saw above my cradle ), thank you. Music has been my passion right from childhood (Read about music and me - click here). Don't get me wrong, I'm no singer. The song named "Never be the same " performed by Christopher cross was my lullaby. Its a great song, I've lost count of how many times I played it. Even now I admire it and will always be one of my favorite songs. When I say "Even now", don't ask my age. I'm in no habit of counting the number of candles on my birthday cake, after all like they say "Age ain't nothing but a number". Apart from music, I had a crush on electronic gadgets. I remember me making small nifty things out of resistors, capacitors, LED's, motors and gear wheels busting even my favorite toys (How to bust a timepiece in less than 5 minutes - click here). My dad used to encourage it saying, destruction makes way for creation. Speaking of Dad, he is an all time Clint Eastwood fan - infact, my bro and I were christened Josy and Joe inspired by the movies "Joe Kidd" and "The Outlaw Josey Wales". Like any other kid, spiderman and robocop were my heros (not superman really - he wore things out of order ;-) Those robots and aliens which show up in TV shows and commercials always captured my imagination. I have a cool brother Josy and there's a whole lot to write about mischiefs we did together and the plans we devised together to save our backs.

Joe goes to school
Ah school days, I still remember how I used to hate Monday mornings and the dumb excuses I used to make to find my way out. Ultimately they don't work and I would end up being late to school. My worst fear those days was what I would do if my school diary ran out of pages to mark late attendance. But most days, I used to have company of my buddies Shanklock (Shankar - the next geneartion Sherlock Holmes) and kk. It was fun though, now when I look back I realize what a fool I've been not to enjoy my school days.

College life blues
This will be one of the most wonderful part of my life and won back the lost time at school. Well these were the guys with which I hanged out those days ( see my crib ). We called ourselves "THE SCORPIONS". If you are wondering why this photo looks unclear, its because in those days I have not heard the words digital and camera ( in conjunction ) and due to the exceptional photographic skills of my friend Sanjay.

Professionalism redefined
Its high time Oxford/Webster redefined the meaning of professionalism at least when me and my gang graduated, that was my thought. But my notion turned out wrong. In life, the contrary happened for good.

Making a living
It was my dream to make it to the merchant navy, but they didn't want me. To be frank it was their exams that thought otherwise :-) So I ended up pursuing my second cherished goal and here I'm working with one's and zero's. If you ask what I do for living, well I baby sit server's mostly located in the other part of the hemisphere. Occasionally write lullabies (programs/scripts) for them too.

My notion about life
Equilibrium, impermanence and duality I believe are cosmic verities. Life is as simple as it is complex. Some times its difficult to figure out which one it is, like sides of a Möbius strip. Prayers needed for long winding roads ahead. But no worries, good lord be by my side. Duh, here I go philosophical.
